Has Mismanaged Preeclampsia Caused A Birth Injury In Your Child?
If the doctors can diagnose preeclampsia right away, the greater the odds of dealing with its complications. When doctors delay or fail to diagnose a mother who is suffering from preeclampsia, not only does it put the mother’s life at risk, but it also causes a serious risk of injury or death for the child. The mother’s blood pressure, along with other risk factors, must be closely monitored, for the doctors to notice if preeclampsia has developed. If the risk factors are not detected and tests are not ordered to help confirm the diagnosis by the doctor, and the condition is present and causes an injury to the mother and/or baby, then a strong argument can be made that medical malpractice is the reason for injury.
If you have been told that your baby is suffering from a brain injury, and you suspect improper handling of preeclampsia is the reason, do understand that there are individuals who you can speak with regarding the challenges that you and your child will have in the future.
